Sue Smales Traditionally a painter, I migrated to making sculpture around 2015. My inspiration comes from working with nature's discards such as bark, seedpods, and other plant material. I repurpose all kinds of waste materials from everyday life. Animals and birds and sea life inspire me, particularly those of Australia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand/Aotearoa.
