Beneath my Wings is another bold step in my bronze sculpting evolution, one more in a series exploring wings & flight. I started with a model, built with hot wax & honed with more heat - the dancing blue flame of my burner was hypnotic, and, as usual, my mind wandered, pondering the influences of my sculpting journey so far …I thought of the things that drive me, the things that lift me, the things that always seem to will me to ‘fly’. This is for all those ‘things’ - the people, both known & unknown, and the power & strength of the support around me; these things that push me from that ledge of comfort, & encourage me to SOAR!
