"Bud Awakening" - This statue is describing an abstract bud form which is about to burst into life. It is almost awakening to the excitement of Spring. I carved this from limestone to highlight the wondrous composition of shells, crystals and even the odd fossil. Statues made from limestone are stunning as a contrast to the green foliage of a garden while later, the colour of the stone fades into a greyish shade as it weathers.
