Kiln fired, Fused Glass. The limitations of kiln size in this process creates a challenge when looking to produce large scale works. Hence the need for some sort of support which doesn’t always blend as well with the glass as one might hope. However the overall effect created by the transparent colours and contoured overlays, combine with changing light conditions, bring the glass to life. Transport is the other challenge to design, so until the piece finds a permanent home, temporary support for the glass may be required. Challenges lay ahead.
