   Sculpture Description

Gypsy of the Deep, the whale shark is a mystical sea creature, a lot about its breeding is still unknown today. Found throughout tropical and temperate waters of the world, including Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia were many dive with the beautiful whale shark. The species is considered endangered, due to its long life span, catch loses, and vessel strikes. The frame was constructed from an old barn that had blown over in a mini tornado, so some of the structure was pre-bent. The exterior is constructed from galvanised sheet steel, with stainless steel rod. It also has 40m of blue and white led lights inside which makes it look like it's breathing at night.
