Human Bean is reminder that we are part of nature – just as much as than any animal or plant you might meet, see or eat. I created a mystical figure that might be found emerging from the giant seed pod – as if the pod and its contents had fluttered down from a tree and onto the river below, to float languidly along its surface like the lady of shallot (or spring onion!). This is a whimsical, humorous, gentle prod that we should not take ourselves too seriously, and not forget that we are an intrinsic part of our beautiful, natural world.
