   Sculpture Description

Saul is an interdisciplinary artist who sculpts, draws, photographs, and writes. He describes his work as being both realist and surrealist. He aims to produce realistic images in a surrealist context as he believes this gives more immediacy to the viewer. The concept of ‘myth’ and ‘Metamorphosis’ are a key inspiration in his work. His most recent exhibition (2024) was at Red Gallery: https://www.redgallery.com.au/exhibitions/saul-shepherd-mythologies. He has a novel pending publication.
