   Sculpture Description

What does it mean to wake? The image of Logos emerged in the early days of generative art, a response from an Artificially Intelligent program to the prompt: Show me what you look like when you’re thinking. IΩANNA took that image and carved Logos into existence from wood by hand, grounding the futuristic in something ancient. Logos is both a relic and an omen—an artefact of an intelligence still finding its place in the world. A kooky and curious being woken into our human reality. Logos Waking Up shifts the dynamic between artist and tool. Rather than technology serving the artist, the artist has served the technology—by giving it a body, a presence, something to meet eye to eye. Logos invites audiences to pause at the threshold of a new era, one where humanity blurs the boundaries between machine and maker. One with an increasing tendency to humanise machines. Who, or what, is waking up?
