   Sculpture Description

I am a phoenix, a mythical creature born anew, surviving even the harshest of conditions, regardless of my environment. I burn brightly even in the night, before disappearing into the darkness of my ashes, only to be seen clearly in the light of day. I symbolize an immortal adaptability and endurance, they call me humanity. I am eternal in my resilience and tenacity, majestic I survive in comfort. I will exist indefinitely, burning through the world's resources. Yet, in the darkness of the future I wonder, will I be all that is left? Lately, I've become trapped in the metal framework that encircles my consumeristic lifestyle and global warming has my world becoming more industrial. The delicate balance is not maintained and I see now that it's not entirely unrealistic to think that I am caught in a cycle that will eventually lead to a painfully fake reality. One where all the flowers are made of plastic and metal because the real ones are just myths and legends. I, humanity, will still be there in the end, surviving amongst the myth of what should not have been a legend.
