These interlocking circular forms are made from ‘Ciment Fondu’ a lightweight, all weather material made in the studio of Ross Miller. It is also my continuing exploration of harmonious abstract shapes. It was made during the start of the Covid pandemic and was interrupted by the many lockdowns that prohibited us from being in each other’s space. The finish is craggy and looks weathered, beaten and time- worn, which is how I felt during the many periods of lockdown imposed isolation. it is also the remnant of our past unsustainable and carefree lives pre pandemic.
