My sculptural practice, ventures beyond the boundaries of tradition, reimagining the potential of scagliola in a non-traditional manner by challenging the conventional way this architectural process was originally used. I am captivated by the intricate patterning of the parched land and cracked earth. The organic forms seen throughout my art practice are the embodiment of nature finding a way to survive in extreme conditions, with the rough terrain being scraped back to reveal the life force of the land. I seek to highlight our connection with the earth, prompting contemplation of our relationship with the natural world and the intrinsic beauty and resilience of our environment.
