Judge's comment: I felt Paul's sculpture captured such a moment of fluidity, a litheness. I am always in awe when a sculptor can take a strong, cold material such as steel and transform it into a work which embodies the grace, warmth and gentleness of a moving animal. I found myself wanting to move around the work and enjoy the interpretation from all angles.
