This work is one of three figurative bronze sculptures titled “With You”. The works explore the complexities of relationships and sexuality; whilst contrasting with their simplified aesthetic. This aesthetic being the facade, present to everyone but ourselves, that borders our complex beings. This work in particular present two individuals abstracted to the viewer and/or each other, stuck in a sexual embrace. The Abstract nature of the composition provides a fog of ambiguity over the intent behind the figure/s; whether this is a loving or abrasive encounter is unknown, the viewer is merely a spectator to this universal encounter.
