Therese picks washed up twigs, sticks and branches, literally! They form a shape of an oversized exaggerated nest. The placement and informal arrangement create a home; this home is a safe haven for nurturing and observing. The twigs, sticks and branches represent building blocks of an environment we use to shelter in.

Its informality is part of its strength, allowing the work to feel instinctive, grounded and deeply connected to the natural world. It is a simple but resonant piece that evokes home, safety and the elemental building blocks of habitation.
