Eucalyptus obliqua stringybark trees commonly grow here in the Yarra Valley and is used for fire wood. This inspired me to make this sculpture. I used round steel rod for the trunk and branches, flat steel strap for the outer of the leaves and mesmate wood in the centre of the leaves.
