Open to Light. This work explores a moment of embodied contentment — the simple act of lifting the face toward warmth and allowing the body to soften. With arms gently raised and eyes closed, the figure is neither striving nor resisting, but resting in presence. In contrast to works that examine resilience through fracture, this piece reflects another state of being: openness. It speaks to the quiet fulfillment found in cultivated spaces — courtyards, outdoor rooms, and intimate gardens — where light, air, and stillness meet. Here, strength is not tested but absorbed; it arrives through warmth rather than endurance. Cast in glass fibre reinforced cement and designed for architectural outdoor settings, the sculpture responds to shifting light and seasonal change. As sun traces the contours of the lifted face and collarbones, the work becomes part of the space it inhabits.
