Red Ripe

`Red Ripe `is the unique glazed and fired version of `Ripe`, a first edition bronze. This series is an exaggerated abstraction of the female form emphasising voluptuousness and sensuality. But it is also a continuation of the symbolism of the ancient `Venus of Willendorf`, the first sculpture to depict women's connection to their bodies as the generators of birth and human life.
