My works are from a body of work about an extraordinary woman, Janina, who escaped war-torn Europe and arrived in Australia in 1951. Here she carved out a life for herself and her family. Janina was tenacious, creative, a homemaker, hard taskmaster, loved life and has left a legacy of loyalty, love and endurance. Janina was my mother.
