The Fragility of Life

Recent events in my life have made me realise and appreciate the fragility of life. This pieces starts off smooth and shinny, and as it twists and turns upward through life it starts to show the weathered signs and scars from external influences. This black wood piece was reclaimed after being discovered underground. At some point in its life it was burned and then buried. When you sit back and view it completely, it is beautiful, scars and all.
