The Last of His Mob

Climate change, fires & floods & cullings have reduced our Brumby mobs to a minimal level in the wild, in some places ie. The Bogongs, completely. Despite being non indigenous, they have lived in the Snowys & Eastern Highlands for as long as white man. They live in harmony with indigenous animals & cause little disruption to the environment, a lot less than feral cats, wild dogs, deer & pigs. In Kakadu, wild bullocks that muddy the waters. I believe Brumbies should have legislation of protection from culling. In my sculpture, 'The last of his mob' is down on his haunches, and preserved in a glass case for our memories, as they will all be gone!
