This sculpture was created in two stages during COVID lockdown when many reassessed their work, life, balance. The top angular section sat idle while I waited for inspiration to complete the fine lineal base.
This arrangement challenges our perception of balance, the uneven distribution between the top and bottom half presents as top heavy. Will it wobble? Will the fine rods bend?
As you walk around this sculpture take note of how the voids of the top section disappear and then return. This piece lets the viewer choose their favourite angle as the front, there is no right or wrong.
