Description
Hand formed using a raku clay body, this classic horse head was glazed with a mix of raku glazes and fired to a high quick temperature before being dropped into an air tight bin full of combustable materials with the lid fitted on to starve the fire of oxygen, creating a reduction technique that changes the color of the glaze and surface. Raku firing dates back to the 16th Century.
