Alison Parkinson Artist. ‘Gary’ I have known Gary since Art School, also he had been a Manager at a Foundry and his Bearded Neptunian appearance. He was a perfect subject for a Bronze. Gary modelled, as I drew him, becoming familiar with his face. These drawings informed me in creating a clay bust. After bisque firing Ewen Coates cast my work in Bronze. I delight in drawing and finding the personality in the clay. This process gives me both experiences. Then the honoring of the subject when they have been transformed into the enduring medium of bronze.
