"Pink Lady Watches Her Waistline" depicts a large, juicy apple constrained by a tight, corset-like belt, using the stereotype of comparing women's bodies to fruit : we may be an apple, a pear and so on. This sculpture prompts reflection on the pressures women in particular face to conform to an idealised standard, inviting viewers to question the impact of such expectations on individual autonomy and self-image.
