The Gyre of Aeon. This piece is a central part of my sculpture “Aeon” that I am currently working on. Aeon is a 2.2 metre steel globe that talks about our place on this wonderful planet with particular emphasis on climate change and species extinction. As it sits on the plinth it is actually upside down. When in place inside Aeon the creatures are suspended from its inclined axis, slowly rotating in an ascending spiral which when seen in context of the whole sculpture is a part of a much bigger story
