Description
The proposed sculpture describes confluence and fragmentation through the theme of buoyancy and displacement. Martin Hodge has used the ocean, water and viscosity to explore the evolution of social cohesion and fragmentation. Recent work has emphasized the symbolism of marine objects and aquatic safety devices through sculptures watercolours, drawings and paintings.
