We all have Totems in our lives, things we believe and things we base our lives on. This sculpture is made from recycled steel from a neighbours demolition, redgum posts from a house being restumped and a thick piece of ply wood found at a building site. One of my life's Totems is that all people have value and have a beauty that is not always visible or on show. This sculpture brings out the beauty in things that have been discarded.
