Having always had a great love of reptiles i was inspired to create Snappy after a visit to Far North QLD.The inside structure is made from recycled plastic drink bottles which was held in shape by masking tape. This was then papermache with flour water, recycled newspaper and cardboard to create the actual body form of a crocodile. It was then painted, waterproofed and clad with pine park collected from a dead tree on our property. His feet are natural dead tree roots which were ideal for the vision I had. In keeping with the natural and recycled materials his teeth are made from a compound of cornflour and PVA glue and to gain the authenticity the glass eyes were sourced from a taxidermist.
