This work evokes a nostalgic theme of the makers childhood lived in a small country town in the western district of Victoria. The wooden chair back is rescued from the makers kitchen with the kangaroo providing the dominant decorative feature along with gum nuts and assorted bush vegetation. The chair back is placed in a cast made of recycled pewter, the model for which came from foraged driftwood found near the makers current home in inner urban St Kilda.
