After too much news on Mr Trump’s ‘wrecking forays’ I took to expressing my frustrations in this sculpture, originally calling it “America We’re Praying for You!” I have a lot of very humble friends in America, most of whom are suffering unnecessarily; it is also where I was introduced to this passionate artform of sculpture and its huge variety of mediums! Trump is all about gold and being ‘king’ of everything (“I’d like to be Pope of the World”!!); of payback & annihilation, of authoritarianism & obsessive personal greed! The rolls of mesh represent his physical rolls and materialistic possessions that all rise to self-incineration, caught in the flames of self-perpetuated hell - sadly not soon enough! This Alter-like symbol represents hope for the return of Democracy to the real American people!
