Description
This work is a sculptural replica of a balmain bug I found at my local stkilda dog beach recently. The bug had disappeared from Port Philip Bay thirty years ago when its environmental habitat was destroyed by constant dredging for scallops by commercial fishermen . I believe it is now returning slowly now that practice has ceased and the "in bits "references its sporadic but triumphant return.
