The title of the work is a quotation from Heinrich Schliemann, the renowned German archaeologist who, upon discovering a golden funerary mask in Mycenae in 1876, sent a telegram to King George I of Greece stating, “I have gazed upon the face of Agamemnon,” thereby announcing his groundbreaking excavation discovery. The artwork from the Nubes Formales series was created using the same ancient technique as the mask of the King of Argolis. A repoussé copper sheet is combined with a smooth material shaped into the characteristic form recurring throughout the series. The composition is mounted on a rough concrete cuboid. The work has been exhibited at numerous exhibitions, in Poland and Australia.
