   Sculpture Description

To drift, to loop, to roll. According to German artist, mathematician and scientist Edward Belbruno, it is possible to swing through the cosmos on the subtle fluctuations of the planet’s gravitational pulls. Belbruno refers to this as ‘surfing the gravitational field’. Accordingly, a flight to the moon and back would drift, loop and roll in musical abandon. Frank Sinatra and and Count Bassie would surely look up and smile.
