Todd Lyndon Stuart short bio

Bio: TODD STUART - Artist Statement

The ability of sculpture to enrich, renew and meaningfully activate public space drives me to explore the potential of inspiring abstract forms.

Todd Stuart is a multi-award-winning professional sculptor specialising in large-scale abstract indoor and outdoor artworks of exceptional creative power.

Stuart is driven by core beliefs relating to creativity’s ability to enrich internal and external space. He recognises the inherent value in creating works that vigorously court viewer engagement, while understanding the sculptor’s manifest duty to master form and medium towards artworks that will endure as legacies across time.

Active both at home and abroad, Stuart has won numerous awards for his sculpture in Australia, including the Dame Elisabeth Murdoch Sculpture Award at the Yarra Valley Arts / Yering Station Sculpture Exhibition, while internationally Stuart’s standing as a creator of large-scale public sculpture is on the rise in China, the United States and the Middle East. With over a decade of experience working with architects, interior designers, landscape designers, developers and private clients towards commissioned works that stand as significant landmark statements, Stuart has developed an impeccable reputation for impressive abstract sculpture created for public and private spaces, and also for exceeding client expectations and working to industry benchmarks of budget, time and scope.

Notable works by Stuart can be viewed in Melbourne at the Point Leo Estate Sculpture Park, in Manhattan at the grand entrance to Lloyd Goldman’s Summit Residential Tower, and in the city of Muscat, where two sculptures by Stuart stand as centrepiece artworks within Oman’s Ministry of Education.
